Oct 2023 Release Notes
The below updates cover up to version 5.14
Grid Views
We have introduced Grid Views to boost user productivity by allowing:
Multiple Grids Views from a single Grid
End users to create and edit new grid views and save for later use for themselves and others
End users to deactivate grid views that are no longer needed
Example: A user creates a grid view to show only opportunities closing this quarter.
This feature also extends the no code grid builder to include sorts and filter edits.
Please see more details in the User Guide here.
Parent record edit
You can now edit parent fields on a grid in addition to any fields on the base grid allowing users to manage all their data in one screen.
Example: This is useful if parent information needs to be updated along with child information such as in this grid below where the campaign member and the contact need to be updated in the same view.
For the implementation details see the User Guide here
Field Header Icons
Field Header Icons can be used to improve the UX of the grid and also to indicate which fields are editable.
All of the ~1,000 Salesforce icons are available - full list here
Example: This Grid uses Header Icons to indicate which columns are editable. In this case all fields except Probability Bar and Price History are editable and hence these 2 do not have an icon.
For the implementation details see the User Guide here
Enhanced Filters
We have added the ability to filter using comma separated values for text filters:
No implementation steps are needed for comma separated value filters to work. The user guide section on filters can be found here
